Outtakes on the floor
let that tape keep rolling
memory might be too short
fading out before midtune
as we hear the sound of silence
rolling in

printing a record wasn’t easy at those times
pressing vinyl in the cutting room
one white label hitting the charts
while the ink still wasn’t dry
and the bands were pretty comatose
at the age of twenty-seven
alle those youngsters bound for heaven
